Coppers aren't above the law

As reported by fone, there is not much hope that consumers will start taking the new laws on mobiles while driving seriously if even the police are flouting them. Last week a top cop was caught using his mobile behind the wheel. Strathclyde police chief superintentendent Kenny Scott, 50 was stopped by own force, proving that cops aren't either above the law. He was fine £60 and given three points on his license in the line with the new legislation. A Strathclyde police spokewoman said, "we can confirm that a 50-year man was given a fixed penalty following an alleged road tariff offence on the M74 on March 7. this person was teated the same as any other individual would be."
